Lockwood will be hosting a Kindergarten registration event for their current 4Y students. 

May 1

District offices will be open. 

Do you like to plan ahead? The school board approved the calendars for the next school year. The first day of school will be on August 10. Pre-K and Kindergarten will begin on August 12, 2026. 

Kindergarten registration opened on April 6, 2026. You can register online or register in person at your child's zoned school. Current 4Y families can register at Lockwood on April 17th from 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM. 

You will need to provide your proof of residency (utility bill, lease agreement, etc), shot records, and birth certificate. Full information on the required documents is available online. 

Because we will be switching to a new student information system this summer, if your application is not fully completed by May 22, you will need to restart your application in the new system. 

Families interested in the dual language program can come with their child to La Casita Elementary (400 Davis St.) on April 23rd for their ¡Adelante! registration event. 

Clovis Municipal Schools will be offering a free Summer Reading Program from June 1-26 at Highland Elementary School from 8 AM - 12 PM. Students will work on math and reading skills in small groups with a trained teacher. Open to students who will have completed kindergarten through seventh grade. Breakfast, snacks, and lunch are provided. 

Several schools in our district receive Title I funding to support student learning. We value your input on how these funds should be used to support students and families. This short survey will help guide decisions about programs, services, and family engagement activities at your child’s school.

Clovis Municipal Schools announced the opening of the Los Niños Child Development Center for the 2026–2027 school year, a new facility designed to provide high-quality, year-round childcare for employees’ children while supporting workforce recruitment and retention. The center will be fully funded through New Mexico’s Universal Childcare Act, allowing the district to expand early childhood access without using local operational funds or tax revenue.

Clovis Municipal Schools announced that multiple Clovis High School juniors and seniors earned recognition through the College Board National Recognition Programs, highlighting their strong academic performance and achievement on assessments like the PSAT and AP exams.

Clovis Municipal Schools dance teams earned top honors at the American Dance Drill Team Panhandle Showcase, demonstrating exceptional talent and district-wide program strength.

Clovis Municipal Schools has named Julie Gutierrez as the new head volleyball coach at Clovis High School, bringing a proven record of success and a strong focus on student-athlete development and program growth. 

Clovis Municipal Schools choirs earned top honors at a regional music performance assessment, with all 11 ensembles receiving Superior ratings and two advancing to the state competition. 

Clovis Municipal Schools is proud to announce the appointment of Kevin Summers as Deputy Superintendent of Operations, Technology, and Athletics, effective June 2026. Summers will transition into this expanded leadership role after serving the district as Executive Director of Data and Accountability.
