2026-2027 Parent-Student Calendar Now Available |
Do you like to plan ahead? The school board approved the calendars for the next school year. The first day of school will be on August 10. Pre-K and Kindergarten will begin on August 12, 2026. |
Kindergarten Registration |

|
Kindergarten registration opened on April 6, 2026. You can register online or register in person at your child's zoned school. Current 4Y families can register at Lockwood on April 17th from 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM.
You will need to provide your proof of residency (utility bill, lease agreement, etc), shot records, and birth certificate. Full information on the required documents is available online.
Because we will be switching to a new student information system this summer, if your application is not fully completed by May 22, you will need to restart your application in the new system.
Families interested in the dual language program can come with their child to La Casita Elementary (400 Davis St.) on April 23rd for their ¡Adelante! registration event.

Free Summer Reading Program |
Clovis Municipal Schools will be offering a free Summer Reading Program from June 1-26 at Highland Elementary School from 8 AM - 12 PM. Students will work on math and reading skills in small groups with a trained teacher. Open to students who will have completed kindergarten through seventh grade. Breakfast, snacks, and lunch are provided. |

Clovis Municipal Schools announced the opening of the Los Niños Child Development Center for the 2026–2027 school year, a new facility designed to provide high-quality, year-round childcare for employees’ children while supporting workforce recruitment and retention. The center will be fully funded through New Mexico’s Universal Childcare Act, allowing the district to expand early childhood access without using local operational funds or tax revenue. |
